nGenius® Probe LAN Deployment
To collect network data, nGenius® Probes connect to Local Area Networks (LAN) via passive taps or switch span ports where they monitor and analyze key information on the network, including applications, hosts, conversations, utilization and errors. The nGenius LAN probes automatically discover VLANS and also have the capabilities to aggregate traffic with multi-port configurations for load balanced or redundant links, providing the necessary network performance management information to troubleshoot the most difficult network performance problems. Network and application statistics are continually forwarded to nGenius Performance Manager to provide real-time analysis and historical reporting.
