Today’s large enterprises and government agencies are increasingly turning to QoS traffic classification, specific Differentiated Services Code Pointes (DSCP) in order to:

QoS Network Performance Management Challenges 
Planning a QoS implementation is difficult, but many are finding it even more daunting to determine whether or not their deployment was successful. Without a means to directly quantify the network traffic utilizing each QoS class, network operators are left to guess whether their prioritization schemes are achieving the desired balance, are unduly impacting or restricting lower priority traffic, or are being compromised by improperly configured network devices.

nGenius Performance Manager provides real-time views of applications in QoS categories as identified by DSCP in physical and virtual circuits running in network segments. This report shows the applications associated with each QoS category. Applications that have been assigned a wrong DSCP will be quickly identified in this view and will make pinpointing the mis-configured device much easier.
