Cloud is often considered in terms of flexibility, which is why hybrid cloud strategies are so popular. The ability to respond to business needs by shifting applications and services across private clouds, public clouds, and on-premises data centers makes it a terrific option for a lot of businesses. In fact, a survey from Everett Group found that nearly three out of four companies have a hybrid-first or private-first cloud strategy. If not properly managed, however, the flexibility afforded by hybrid cloud environments can become complex.
