Challenges to Defending Against DDoS Attacks in the Age of Digital Transformation

While volumetric and application-based attacks continue to grow in size and complexity, attackers are more sophisticated with how these attacks infiltrate networks and impact business availability. While a hybrid approach to mitigation is still a best practice for mitigation orchestration, empowering edge defenses to block attacks and communicate upstream helping service providers and Enterprise block DDoS attacks closer to the attacker. Through the integration of Smart Data technology from NETSCOUT and flow data from the Arbor platforms, NETSCOUT is moving visibility from the network layer to the service layer ultimately empowering customers to optimize their environments and increase their security posture.
