The NETSCOUT Approach to Trusted Internet Connections
In November of 2007, the Office of Management and Budget (“OMB”) announced the “Trusted Internet Connections (“TIC”) initiative” to “optimize [federal departments and agencies’] individual network services into a common solution for the federal government.” The primary goals of the TIC initiative were to “improve the federal government’s security posture and incident response capability by reducing and consolidating external network connections.”
