Due to exponential growth of network traffic, a large African mobile operator started experiencing frequent loss of data. This operator anticipated subscribers’ data to double each year. The loss of data caused significant impact to network performance and ultimately service assurance. Considering existing budget restraints, how will this operator expand infrastructure to manage traffic growth?

The Details

With infrastructure approaching capacity and constant interruptions on service assurance continuity, an open platform software-based monitoring solution was needed to support Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Cloud based services. NETSCOUT's next generation InfiniStreamNG™ commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, provided the remedy. InfiniStreamNG aided this operator to evolve their inadequate monitoring solution to a virtualized model. The InfiniStreamNG solution also provided Smart Visibility during the disruptive transition to NFV, while proactively assuring service in a hybrid network environment.
